‘Need Rs 7.8 crore to repair city pipelines for Ganga water supply’

Agra: Ahead of the supply of Ganga water from Bulandshahr in the city under the Gangajal project , Jal Sansthan has highlighted the need for repairing the decades old supply pipelines in the city. But the two water works station in the city supply only around 280 MLDUnder Gangajal project, Agra will get Ganga water from Palra headworks in Bulandshahr's Upper Ganga canal. For this, general manager, Jal Sansthan, has sought a sum of Rs 7.8 crore from the municipal commissioner.In his demand letter, GM, Jal Sansthan, RS Yadav said in the near future, city’s two water treatment plants at Jeevani Mandi and Sikandra will get Ganga water supply. Jal Nigam aims to start supply of 350 million liters per day of Ganga water to Agra by end of this month. Average water requirement in the city is 400 MLD.
