Swine Flu strikes: Two pregnant women in Agra test positive

AGRA: The city registered its first swine flu case this year with a pregnant women being diagnosed as suffering from H1N1 virus. Here H1N1 swine flu was confirmed. All possible efforts are being made to ensure the fetus does not get affected.Last year in October two swine flu cases were confirmed. The health department has also asked private hospitals and laboratories to immediately report any suspected swine flu case.Chief medical officer Mukesh Vats said, “Swine flu has been confirmed in a woman patient at SNMC. She has been placed in the isolation ward of the hospital.With the first case of swine flu surfacing in the city, an alert has been sounded at the district hospital.
