Ajit Singh shifts to Muzaffarnagar, fields son Jayant from Baghpat

While party chief Chaudhary Ajit Singh will contest from Muzaffarnagar, his son Jayant Chaudhary will be the candidate for Baghpat. AGRA: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Tuesday declared three candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Singh has contested assembly elections unsuccessfully thrice from Mathura, Chhata and Govardhan assembly constituencies in 1991, 2002 and 2017. However, he lost in the previous LS polls against BJP's Satyapal Singh.The party, however, has chosen a non-Jat candidate, Kunwar Narendra Singh, from Mathura. His father, Ajit Singh has represented the seat six times.
