Lok Sabha polls: Not joining hands with us Priyanka’s biggest mistake, says Shivpal Singh Yadav

If elected, I’ll bring treasure from the country to Firozabad, as we have a key (party symbol) which opens all vaults.” FIROZABAD: Disappointed over Congress dissent over the proposal of alliance in Lok Sabha election, Pragatisheel Samajwadi party (Lohia) chief, Shivpal Singh Yadav said on Friday that the Congress under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi had made its “biggest mistake by not entering into an alliance with them.“We could have kept the BJP from winning Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh had the Indian National Congress formed an alliance with us. Priyanka Gandhi made a biggest mistake,” he said while speaking to TOI, during poll campaign in remote village of Jasrana police jurisdiction of Firozabad district Pragatisheel Samajwadi party (Lohia) will contest on 79 seats across UP, but is not fielding a candidate in Mainpuri where SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting. But I’m sad that he did not join PSPL to contest from Mainpuri, but I know he will support me.”When asked to comment on BSP-SP alliance, Shivpal said, “It’s a worthless alliance.” But addressing to gathering Shambu nagar locality in Shikohabad , Shivpal stated, “Only BSP will gain from the alliance, while the grand Samajwadi party will suffer loss due to terrible decisions.”Travelling in silver Mitsubishi crossover SUV with 007 registration number, Shivpal Singh Yadav received a fair welcome from supporters in Shikohabad and Jasrana during poll campaign. Addressing to small crowd of 150-180 men and women in localities and hamlets, Shivpal continue to express his disappointment of been insulted and forced to leave SP.Interestingly while he was addressing to public at an estate based on Jasrana road near Etah roundabout, scores of party supporters rushed to eat lunch, and then, Shivpal stated, “I’m still a MLA with three years of term pending, but you called me and requested me to contest lok sabha election. If elected, I’ll bring treasure from the country to Firozabad, as we have a key (party symbol) which opens all vaults.”
