AGRA: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is likely to visit Fatehpur Sikri on April 10 and may hold a roadshow in support of Uttar Pradesh Congress president Raj Babbar.Babbar is the Congress candidate from the Fatehpur Sikri parliamentary constituency.Vice-president of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Pradeep Kansal, said that Priyanka’s visit has been planned for April 10, but the final programme is yet to be received from her office.
He told TOI that the public rally will be held either at Ram Leela ground or the ground near Akola, where he had addressed a rally in 2012.
He added that All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi is likely to address a public rally in Agra before the second phase of elections on April 18.Party sources told TOI that during her visit to the constituency, Priyanka, who is the AICC general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh East, will offer ‘chaddar’ at the dargah of Sufi saint Salim Chishti and also visit the Shri Bateshwar Nath temple, where she will ‘offer a bell’.District president of Congress committee, Dushyant Sharma, said that Rahul’s public address is tentatively scheduled for April 15 and once finalized, arrangements will be made for the same.
