Agra: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University has not made arrangements to address admission-related queries of applicants under its newly introduced online system. Students are having a hard time in applying for courses and depositing fess as the university website does not mention an e-mail id or a helpline number to assist applicants. It is alleged that even the grievances being directly brought to the administration’s notice are not being timely addressed.In order to keep a tab on malpractices in the admission process, the university shifted to the online system from this year. Parul Garg, who is interested in pursuing a postgraduate course from here, said, “The varsity has not provided an e-mail id or a helpline number and has not even set up a helpdesk for admission-related queries of students. Applicants are being made to run around from one department to another.”Meanwhile, university spokesperson GS Sharma said, “A special team is taking care of the admission process. We will ensure applicants don’t face any problem in seeking admissions. Any specific complaint can be reported at the registrar’s office. Soon, adequate arrangements will be adopted to address queries of students.”
