3 family members of a murdered man attempt suicide at Hathras SP’s office

In fact Atar's family had earlier also attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a water tank but were convinced by the police to come down.Talking to TOI, Additional Superintendent of Police, Dr Arvind Kumar said that the case has been transferred to Aligarh and the family had been informed that they did not have adequate evidence to proceed against the persons named by them in their complaint. AGRA: Three family members of one Atar Singh (48), who was murdered in January this year over a property dispute, allegedly attempted to commit suicide by consuming rat poison in front of the SP's office in Hathras on Sunday, accusing the police of inaction against the five accused in former's killing.While the trio, including Atar's wife, Satyavati, son Neeraj, and mother, Sheema Devi are stated to be out of danger, the incident comes close on the heels of the suicide of a 20-year-old girl, Rakhi Chaudhary , in Mathura, who ended her life due to inaction by the police in the case of her parents' murder.
