AGRA: The controversial BJP MP Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi alias Sakshi Maharaj failed to cast vote for civic body polls on Wednesday morning after his name was found missing from voter list.Sakshi Maharaj who visited polling booth at primary school Gagan Kheda at around 7:40am was shocked to see his name missing from voter list.Speaking to TOI over phone, the BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj alleged, "It's a conspiracy against me, otherwise there is no explanation for a Member of Parliament's name missing from voter list."He said, "Apart from me, there were other BJP supporting voters as well who complaint of their name missing from voter list. Barring district magistrate and couple of other officials, the entire district administration machinery is still of previous government. They have not be transferred."Additional election commissioner of Uttar Pradesh, Ved Prakash Verma said, "We have come to know about the discrepancy and have asked district magistrate to probe the matter. Meanwhile, we are focusing over peaceful conduct of polls."District magistrate Ravi Kumar NG of Unnao told TOI, "It was negligence of the booth level officer (BLO), who somehow missed to inculcate and verify the name of MP. A sub divisional magistrate level probe has been ordered."According to sources, the BLO Suchi Dixit has been suspended.For civic body election a separate and revised voter list made, as these elections are conducted at ward level, whereas the MP and MLA elections are conducted at assembly seat level.
