AGRA: After the ABVP, other right wing Hindu organisations in Aligarh have started a campaign to protest against the release of movie 'Game of Ayodhya' ( Ram temple-Babri mosque controversy ).On Thursday, while the Hindu Jagran Manch took out a funeral procession of movie's director, the Hindu Mahasabha has filed a police complaint against the director for hurting the sentiments of the community and distorting the facts in the movie. Activist of Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM), Sanju Bajaj said that movie's director; Sunil Singh has distorted facts and demanded that the censor board should not grant release approval to such films. He said that if the movie is released, the government would be responsible for any untoward backlash.Incidentally, the movie Ramleela had also faced protests in Aligarh and some cinema houses where it was screened were damaged. The opposition of Games of Ayodhya comes close on the heels of the protests against release of Rani Padmavati "We are warning in advance that the administration would be squarely responsible for the consequences of the release of the movie", said Sanju Bajaj.While wondering how such movies that can create tensions among communities be allowed to release. He said the movie trailor shows that lord Ram's statue was installed in a "deceitful" manner in the temple by hindus, which is absolutely wrong.Hindu Mahasabha, state vice president, Gajendra Pal Singh has filed a complaint against the movie's director Sunil Singh for distorting the facts in the movie and hurting community's sentiment. He demanded registration of cases against the director. However, no case was registered till the filing of this report.UP police have already issued an alert about a love story between a Hindu youth and Muslim girl and set in the back drop of the Babri Mosque demolition.
