Officials asked to pursue SC, ST cases

Addressing the meeting, Ramkishan said every officer should conduct the awareness camps on SC, ST cases at the field level and pursue the cases. He ordered officials to conduct such meetings every three months in the district for pursuing the cases. He said there are five Assembly consistencies out of which four are for STs. In and around the district between 2013 and 2018 as many as 373 cases were registered, he said. In all 37 cases have been registered this year so far. In 12 cases, charge sheets were filed, said the Joint Collector. District Additional Superintendent of Police Uday Kumar Reddy, District Revenue Officer Kiran Kumar, District Scheduled Castes Welfare Officer Salma Banu and other officers attended the meeting.
