PATIALA: Police in Punjabs Ropar district arrested two men and four pistols along with six live cartridges were seized from them.The police have indicated that both detainees were wanted in numerous criminal cases.The seized items include two .32 bore pistols with four live cartridges, one .315 bore pistol with a live cartridge, and a .12 bore pistol with one live cartridge.These firearms and ammunition were recovered from near the Satluj River under the Ropar Bypass Flyover.A case under sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act has been registered at the City Rupnagar police station. "The accused will be produced in court so that we can obtain their remand. We anticipate significant revelations as the investigation of the case continues," said a police officer.One of the arrested individuals, Mandeep Kumar from Saroa village in SBS Nagar, has been involved in five cases registered against him since November 2017, covering various IPC sections. The other detainee, Jarnail Singh from Chandpur village in SBS Nagar, is also implicated in five separate cases registered under IPC sections, as well as sections of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act and the Arms Act.
