International calls threatening Punjab RSS preacher raise concerns

TARN TARAN: Tarn Taran, once a hotspot for militancy in Punjab, witnesses a revival of terrorism amid threats calls targeting Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) preacher Ravinderpal Singh. RSS preacher Ravinderpal Singh has received two threatening calls within the past month demanding the closure of RSS Shakhas, escalating fears of terrorism revival in Tarn Taran.Khalistan movement and its impact on the Punjabi music industry- TAKE A LOOKSenior superintendent of police, Ashwani Kapoor, said that an investigation is underway after Ravinderpal filed a complaint. A case has been registered under IPC sections 387 and 506 at the City police station in Tarn Taran against unknown individuals.Acknowledging the severity of the threats, Tarn Taran police have assigned security personnel to accompany Ravinderpal Singh and ensure protection for two RSS Shakhas in the region.The resurgence of Khalistan demand, fueled by foreign-based terrorists and indirect support from local Sikh bodies, poses a serious threat to communal harmony in Punjab. Organizations like Sikh For Justice offer financial incentives for advocating Khalistan, escalating tensions in the region.
