AMRITSAR: In connection with the recent firing incident at Putligahr area of Amritsar city, one Harpreet Singh alias Harman has been arrested by the police. However, Dimple Arora, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and brother of the injured Aman Arora, has accused the police of shielding the real culprits.The shooting occurred during a scuffle between Dimple Aroras brother and the son of a former Congress party municipal councilor.Despite the prompt arrest of Harpreet Singh within three hours of the crime, Dimple Arora alleged that the police have not apprehended the person who allegedly incited the accused under political pressure.Dimple Arora claims that certain police officers are favoring Congress leaders, and he considers those who provoked the assailants to be the real culprits. He has threatened to stage a dharna in front of Cantonment police station if the alleged provocateurs are not arrested within two days.A senior police officer, requesting anonymity, stated that Harman was arrested promptly based on the victim partys statement. He also suggested that there may be political considerations deliberately inflaming the incident.
