BAREILLY: A large group of people who are scheduled to leave for Haj next month met chief medical officer Dr Vineet Shukla on Wednesday to complain about delay in their vaccination. Nearly 1,300 people from Bareilly will go for Haj this year, with the first flight for pilgrims leaving on July 14.Attaur Rahman, president of Haj Sewa Samiti, a Bareilly-based social organisation, said, “The government hasn’t yet made arrangements for the vaccination of pilgrims. Once we receive the vaccines, we will organisehealth camps.” It’s mandatory for people embarking on the holy journey to take vaccination for meningitis, swine flu and polio at least 10 days before they reach Saudi Arabia Officials said that pilgrims have to produce a health certificate issued to them by the authorities here on their arrival at Jeddah airport.
