Ex-pradhan, wife along daughter jump in front of train

Moradabad: A former pradhan along with his wife committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train along with their five-year-old daughter. When Sadbhavna Express passed the level crossing, Vijender along with his wife and daughter jumped in front of the running train. The incident took place in Kunderki at Belari railway level crossing on Chandusi road. All of them died on the spot.SP, railway, Subhash Chandra Dubay said a probe has been ordered. According to police, a family property dispute may have been the reason behind the suicide.Police said late on Friday evening, former pradhan Vijender Kumar Singh along with his wife Rekha Devi and minor daughter reached Bilari railway phatak.

He parked his car nearby. The couple with their child then waited for a train. When Sadbhavna Express passed the level crossing, Vijender along with his wife and daughter jumped in front of the running train. All of them died on the spot.SP, railway, Subhash Chandra Dubay said a probe has been ordered. “We have asked GRP officials to find out if the spot where the incident took place comes under the jurisdiction of the railway or local police. Once the jurisdiction is decided, an FIR will be registered and investigation will be carried out to know the facts and circumstances.Kunderki police station SHO Sunil Kumar said, “ During preliminary probe. it was found that a dispute over property had divided Vijendra and his brothers. This could be one of the reasons for the suicide.”
