Pilibhit: Riazuddin, a notorious criminal with a bounty of Rs 5,000 who has been on the run for the past one year, was arrested by a joint team of Pilibhit Kotwali police station, special weapons and tactics and surveillance cell.Superintendent of police Balendu Bhushan Singh said Riazuddin, a resident of Ward Number 2 in Islam Nagar under Khatema police station of Uttarakhand, was wanted in a criminal case registered against him under section 457 (house trespass or house breaking by night in order to commit offence) and 380 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Pilibhit Kotwali police station last year.Besides, he had as many as 10 FIRs registered against him under the Arms Act, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Goondas Act in addition to various IPC sections, Singh said.SP said the joint team arrested him at 10.30 am from Bankati road near Pushp Institute under Pilibhit Kotwali circle when he was about to leave Pilibhit.
