PILIBHIT: Three Dalits , including a minor boy, who were allegedly held captive for two days by a farmer at his farmhouse were rescued on Saturday. The boy was rescued but again abducted within hours. But he is not involved in the matter, he claimed.He sought police help. Then, he approached the DLSA. The trio was allegedly abducted at gunpoint, locked up in a room and tortured by the farmer who wanted to know the whereabouts of his manager’s 17-year-old daughter who eloped with a local youth on July 15.The rescue operation was conducted by circle officer of Pilibhit city Dharm Singh Marchhal after receiving a telephone call from District Legal Service Authority’s secretary Satyendra Yadav.Police have lodged two FIRs in the matter and arrested the farmer and his aide.Gendan Lal of Bela Pukhra village under Amaria police station told TOI that his son was abducted and tortured to disclose the girl’s whereabouts.
