SSB rescues six Nepalese schoolboys from traffickers

Traffickers had given money to these children to board a bus from Gaurifanta to Mathura. All the six children, aged 15 to 17 years, from Heartland school in Kathmandu (Nepal) were on the run without informing their parents after traffickers lured them of a good life and jobs in Pune. According to intelligence inputs, a large group of people has been involved in child trafficking, and we are gathering information about the people who brought these children to India.”Earlier, SSB had rescued a group of Nepalese woman who were being trafficked to India at the Indo-Nepal border. Shahjahanpur: Jawans of 39 Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Monday afternoon rescued six Nepalese schoolchildren who were being trafficked to India at the Indo-Nepal border in Gaurifanta area of Lakhimpur Kheri district.Commandant in charge Sanjeev Kumar said, “Acting on intelligence inputs, SSB officials took the children into their custody when they were about to board a bus to Mathura. They were told to reach Pune, where they would be working in a hotel at a handsome salary and would get free accommodation and food.Kumar said, “The children will be handed over to their parents after their identity is established.
