Student on his way to school shot at in Shamli, critical

Meerut: A 17-year-old student on his way to school was shot at by unidentified assailants in Shamli on Saturday morning. His condition is critical, police said.Last month, a Class XI student was shot dead by unidentified miscreants outside his school, National Inter College, Kandhla in Shamli district. The victim sustained two bullet injuries and was taken to Meerut Hospital. However reason for the attack is not known.“A case of attempt to murder has been filed and investigation is underway to nab the accused,” said Shamli SP Dinesh Kumar P.The victim, Sachin Kumar, is a resident of Badhev village in Adarsh Mandi area. He fell on the road, bleeding.He was immediately rushed to a local hospital.

Three men were said to be involved in the attack. He was on his motorcycle when he was waylaid by the assailants. A bullet was fired at him from close range. He fell on the road, bleeding.He was immediately rushed to a local hospital. He was referred to a higher centre in Meerut.
