Rs 30k withdrawn from youth’s a/c, FIR lodged

Pilibhit: A sum of Rs 30,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from the savings bank account of a 20-year-old student, Devashish. He has a bank account in the city court branch of State Bank of India in Mirzapur district. The bank said the fraudulent withdrawal was an outcome of his own fault.At home for Diwali, the youth lodged an FIR at Pilibhit Kotwali police station on Saturday.Kiran Pal Singh, SHO, said an FIR against anonymous accused was lodged under the Information Technology Act. The money was withdrawn from his son’s account on September 9 from an ATM.Devashish filed a complaint with the bank but it was rejected. An FIR has been lodged in the matter.According to the youth’s father Devendra Pratap, Pilibhit’s additional district magistrate (judicial), his son lives in Delhi where he is preparing for competitive exams.
