Bareilly: A 13-year-old girl was killed as lightning struck her in Nai Basti Gotiya village under Fatehganj East police jurisdiction on Friday afternoon.According to police, the girl, identified as Shama, was feeding her goat when lightning struck. Both my daughter and the animal were killed on the spot.” She was killed on the spot.Fatehganj East SHO Suresh Pal Singh said, “On information, we rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy.”Faridpur SDM Rakesh Singh said, “The district administration has taken note of the death and will provide Rs 4 lakh as compensation to the victim’s family once the postmortem report arrives.”Speaking to TOI, Shafiq Ahamed, the girl’s father, said, “My daughter was standing outside our house and feeding the goat when lightning struck.
