Shahjahanpur police rescues 26 cows

Police rescued 26 cows in Khudaganj area of Shahjahanpur district on Saturday morning from a mini-truck with a Maharashtra registration number. On checking the truck, police found 26 cows crammed inside it. SHO Khudaganj police station Rajveer Singh said they had received a tip-off about the truck carrying cows and heading towards Moradabad via Nigohi- Khudaganj link road. Most of the cows required to be treated before being sent to a cow shelter. Police are now trying to trace the owner of the truck.
