That's when the victim's father immediately informed them about the incident, following which a team was pressed to work out the case.In the course of investigation, the handwriting in the kidnappers' letter matched with samples taken from Tinkoo and he was detained for questioning.During interrogation, said police, Tinkoo broke down and confessed to have committed the gruesome crime.After Tinkoo’s confession, police dug out Saurabh’s body and handed over to the family after the post-mortem.Superintendent of polic (city) Rohit Singh Sajwan said, “Fearing that their plan would be spoiled if Saurabh raised an alarm, Tinkoo strangled his nephew to death and buried his body at a discreet location close to his residence with the help of Raghunandan.”The SP told TOI that the child was killed immediately after the abduction, and the ransom letter was kept ready in advance to apprise the family about the kidnapping and the ransom.“The handwritten letter raised our suspicion, and the case was cracked after the main accused, Tinkoo, broke down during the course of interrogation on Monday.
