BENGALURU: A 40-year-old drug-peddler who allegedly faked to be a dates’ merchant and sold Marijuana in dates’ packets in SG Palya , near Koramangala , has been arrested.SG Palya police said they have recovered drugs worth Rs 3 lakh from Om Prakash R V, a resident of Victoria Layout, Austin Town.He targeted paying guest accommodations teeming in the area and occupied by students of elite institutions in the neighbourhood.Om Prakash sold LSD blots and Marijuana to his clients. He was in touch with his customers over WhatsApp phone calls and later drop Marijuana at their places in dates packets not to arouse suspicion. He brought drugs from the northeastern states and sold them in Bengaluru. He was arrested on the basis of a tip off.The police seized 20 strips of LSD blots and two kg of Marijuana, together worth Rs 3.5 lakh, from him. Prakash was produced before a court which remanded him in judicial custody.Om Prakash is an a MBA graduate and also holds a diploma in structural architecture. After completing his education, he worked in a medical tourism firm and later worked at an event management company where he realised that drugs had a huge demand at parties and began supplying them.He was also involved in a attempt to murder case registered in the Commercial Street police station.He served regular clientele and used his two-wheeler to deliver Marijuana. He collected money on delivery.
