Transport dept suspends Ola's aggregator licence

BENGALURU: In a move that could affect Ola cab users in the city, transport department has suspended its cab aggregator licence for six months.The move came after Ola started bike taxi services in Bengaluru without taking permission from the department.In a letter to Ola dated March 18, the department issued a notice asking Ola to suspend app-based cabs.Notice issued by the transport departmentWhile Ola has been operating services in Bengaluru but its cab services were comparatively less on Friday.Ola officials were unavailable for comment on the move by the transport department.
