A video of a young girl being thrashed and raped by five men has gone viral on Social media. In the video, five men could be seen brutally beating the girl before tearing off her clothes. The video has been viral on social media since late Wednesday night.

Five illegal Bangladeshis have been arrested here for sexually assaulting and raping a woman. Earlier, a video of the incident had also gone viral. "Based on the video clip, the five accused, including a woman, were immediately searched and apprehended by the Bengaluru city police," the Bengaluru police said in a release. In the video, they can be seen brutally beating, sexually assaulting and raping the woman. "

On the basis of the contents of the video clip and facts as disclosed during the interrogation of the accused persons, a case of rape, assault and other relevant provisions of the law, has been generated against the accused," the Bengaluru police said in a statement.

The victim is currently in a neighbouring state and the police team has left to locate her so that she can be included in the investigation. Police said that all the accused belong to Bangladesh and she was brought to India for trafficking and was tortured and brutalised due to a financial matter.

The video was doing rounds in the northeast especially Assam as many people assumed that the survivor is from Northeast India. Assam Police released screenshots from the video of the accused on its Twitter handle and have announced rewards on any information on them.
