Residents were up in arms against the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on Monday after a vehicle got stuck in a sinkhole at Outer Circle, Whitefield.
On Monday morning, a vehicle got stuck in the sinkhole and an earthmover had to be hired to retrieve it,” said a resident of Nallurhalli.
The road, which was laid after the underground drainage (UGD) work by the BWSSB was completed a week ago, developed sinkholes on Saturday.
Residents under the banner of Nallurhalli Rising conducted a check on pollution levels and found it to be as high as 200 ppm [accepted levels are 50 ppm].
“The BWSSB has taken up UGD work on Borewell Road and the surrounding roads.
