Krishnaswamy, popularly known as CGK. Inaugurating the function, ‘Samudaya’ State unit president Achyut expressed concern over growing attacks on Dalits, minorities and other sections in the name of culture and food habit. “The Emergency four decades ago had a political tone. But, now there is undeclared emergency in the name of protecting culture and patriotism,” Mr. Achyut said. A cultural movement to counter such attacks on the multi-culture tradition is the need of the hour, he remarked. Writer Lakshmipathi Kolar presided over the function.
