more-in An alert young woman and her family helped trap an imposter who had allegedly duped 45 women by offering them jobs with reputed IT companies. The accused Ganesh and his associate Impana had conducted campus interview at two prestigious colleges in Madikeri. They had issued offer letters of reputed IT companies to 45 women after receiving ?10,000 each from them. After issuing the offer letters, the accused had brought the 45 young women to a paying guest accommodation in Marathahalli. Two days ago, one of the victims called Ganesh, demanding to know the status of the job. Ganesh asked her to come to a private hospital for a medical test, said to be mandatory before joining the job. Sensing something amiss, the victim called the company for confirmation. The company denied issuing any offer letter. The victim immediately alerted her parents, who filed a complaint with the Madikeri police. The family members, along with Madikeri police, rushed to Bengaluru and apprehended Ganesh at a hotel where he was staying. During interrogation, Ganesh confessed that he was working for Impana, who posed as the Human Rsource personnel of a IT firm. Impana is presently on the run and efforts are on to nab her.
