Petition filed in High Court for contempt against med college dean, DC, CMHO

After Ratlam’s based advocate Suresh Dagar death on bike due to non-availability of beds in hospitals on May 4 occurred, Indore based advocate Gaurav Panchal had filed a petition through e-mail to Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court at Jabalpur alleging that advocate Suresh Dagar died due to medical negligence. The application said that on 4 May 2021, Advocate Suresh Dagar had gone for treatment with his mother and his brother on a bike. Later advocate Suresh Dagar died in the middle of the road. It has been said in the application that at present the people are continuously dying due to lack of medical facilities, on which the High Court itself takes cognizance. If advocate Suresh Dagar had got first aid in both the hospitals mentioned above, he would not have died.

In this petition regarding the death of Advocate Suresh Dagar, Panchal has appealed to the High Court for contempt proceedings against Dean of Ratlam Medical College Dr. Jitendra Gupta, Collector Gopal Chandra Dad, CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Nanavare and Director of Ratlam Ayush Hospital which is evoked by violation of the order dated April 19, 2021 passed in Writ Petition No. 8914/2020. The application said that on 4 May 2021, Advocate Suresh Dagar had gone for treatment with his mother and his brother on a bike. Even after hard efforts for about two hours, Suresh Dagar failed to get bed at Ratlam Medical College later he went to Ayush Hospital and all three other private hospitals were returning to the city by bike for treatment. Later advocate Suresh Dagar died in the middle of the road. It has been said in the application that at present the people are continuously dying due to lack of medical facilities, on which the High Court itself takes cognizance. If advocate Suresh Dagar had got first aid in both the hospitals mentioned above, he would not have died.
