Bhopal: A private school bus ran over a 3-year-old girl who was toddling to a shop in MPs Rewa district on Saturday morning.The incident took place around 7.40am near Dhanvariya village in Semaria region. The child, Avni Sahu, was going to a shop when the bus ran her over. The bus driver was going to pick up students when he hit the girl, killing her on the spot. Locals gathered and started protests on the road. The driver managed to escape, said Semaria police station in charge Ankita Mishra told TOI. There were no students on the bus, she added.The sight of the childs body triggered anger in town. Protests erupted on the street. Local MLA KP Tripathi also went to the accident site.
