IIFM organises annual cultural festival

The Indian Institute of Forest Management organized its annual cultural festival "Kalpataru 2024" on Saturday. Lata Singh Munshi graced the occasion as the chief guest, and Anil Kumar Yadav, IPS, Director of the Central Academy for Police Training, as the guest of honour. Notably present were PK Biswas, the Chancellor of JLU, and BP Pethiya, former Director of IIFM. On this occasion, K Ravichandran, Director of the Indian Institute of Forest Management, shed light on the institutes achievements over the past year, including its declaration as a Deemed-to-be-University and the inauguration of a new campus. He praised the active participation of students in such programs.The annual festival unfolded in two phases. The first phase featured a series of competitions, including "Kavyam" (the poetry competition), Enigma, Treasure Hunt, Guts & Glory, and the Fusion Championship. In the second phase, various cultural performances were showcased, ranging from mime acts and group dances to singing and musicals. The audience was captivated by a mesmerizing Bharatanatyam performance, complemented by the remarkable presentations of Shankara Nad-Shirapara in Telugu and Rangupara Vihara in Sanskrit, which enhanced the cultural extravaganza. Manmohan Yadav, the Dean, commenced the program with his inaugural address.
