Tiger’s body found in Chandan river in Balaghat

The body of a tiger has been found in Chandan river in Balaghat. Tigers claws are missing. The dead body is completely mutilated. t is suspected that the tiger was hunted. Then his body parts were removed and thrown in the river. The matter is of Savangi village of Varasivni in the district where at around 12 noon on Sunday afternoon, a farmer had come to install a water motor in the river for irrigation of his fields. He saw the body of the tiger in the river. After which he informed the forest department about this. As soon as the information was received, forest department officers and employees reached the spot. The officials said to give information only after investigation. Divisional Manager of Forest Development Corporation Balaghat, Amit Kumar Singh said that a dog squad and a team of three doctors have been called to investigate the matter. The dog squad team will search the area, after which it will be taken out for post-mortem. Forest department officials say that the dead body may have been washed away or someone may have hunted it and thrown it here. This is a matter of investigation. The villagers said that the tigers claws were missing. The villagers have also expressed the fear that the dead body is very old. On receiving information about the tigers dead body, a large number of villagers along with forest department employees reached the spot. The villagers expressed their displeasure at the forest staff who reached the spot. They say that even after giving information about the movement of the tiger in the area, no concrete steps were taken by the forest department. On receiving the information, regional MLA Vivek Vicky Patel also reached the spot. He said that this is a very sad incident. The MLA said negligence of the Forest Department is visible. A tigress and her two cubs were moving for the last one and a half month. This was in everyones knowledge. This was also revealed through media. Despite this, the Forest Department neither installed cameras nor did any searching. As a result of this, a tiger has died.
