BMC action against encroachers roadside in Jawahar Chowk area

Municipal Corporation teams took action against encroachers in Bhopal on Monday. Action was taken to seize hand carts which were blocking traffic on the roadside in Jawahar Chowk. At the same time, a fine was imposed for throwing debris in the green belt area, a fine of Rs 20000 was imposed in 9 cases and  10 animals were also sent to Kanji House. A fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on the company looking after the work of Dana Pani Garbage Transfer Station. Corporation Commissioner Harendra Narayan on Monday inspected the cleanliness system in areas like Arera Colony, Trilanga, Danapani Road etc. Meanwhile, a spot fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed on Shahnawaz Ansari, the contractor of the under-construction building of E-7/640 of Ward-48, who threw C&D waste on the road, and a spot fine of Rs 2,000 was imposed on the building owner of E-7/641 for throwing garbage outside the house while taking action against 6 businessmen doing building material business on Danapani Road from Hotel Radisson in Ward-50, a spot fine of Rs 11,000 was collected and a spot fine of Rs 2,000 was collected from Punjab National Bank for throwing C&D waste on the road. The Commissioner conducted a surprise inspection of Danapani Garbage Transfer Station. During this time, they became angry when dirt flowed from the blue container containing dry waste and mixed with the filth in the premises. He directed to impose a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Western Company on the spot. Expressing strong displeasure over the large plastic plate being filled with water in the transfer station premises and the possibility of dengue larva growing in it, he directed to impose a fine of Rs 25,000 on the Western Company itself. The Commissioner also inspected the Sulabh toilet outside the transfer station and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 for the cleanliness system not being proper and the caretaker being absent. On Monday, the Municipal Corporation took action against encroachment in Jawahar Chowk. Here the carts on the roadside were removed. Due to these, complaints of traffic jams had reached the corporation. Six teams of the corporation removed encroachments from different areas of the city. During this period there was also a slight altercation. A situation of controversy also arose during the action in the Jawahar Chowk area. The traders protested, but due to their strictness they did not agree.
