The Department of Pharmacology at AIIMS Bhopal on Wednesday celebrated its Foundation Day with a prestigious oration event, marking a significant moment for the institutions commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education and research.            The distinguished occasion was graced by Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, who delivered an insightful address emphasizing the importance of fostering exemplary prescribing skills among both residents and faculty members. Prof Singhs remarks underscored the departments dedication to excellence in pharmacological practice.                 Dr. Balakrishnan S, Head of the Department of Pharmacology, presented the departments annual report, highlighting the remarkable accomplishments of the past year while outlining ambitious targets for the future. The events keynote speaker, Dr Shoibal Mukherjee, a distinguished consultant in pharmaceutical medicine & drug development, and Director of Medical Research at Medanta Hospitals, delivered an engaging speech on the "Emerging Future of Pharmacology as a Discipline in India." Following Dr Mukherjees keynote speech, an interactive session provided a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage with industry experts on various issues, including emerging career opportunities and essential skills in pharmacology. This session facilitated valuable discussions and insights that will undoubtedly shape the future trajectories of aspiring pharmacologists. The Foundation Day Oration attracted a diverse audience, including undergraduate and postgraduate students from AIIMS Bhopal, as well as esteemed faculties and residents from state medical colleges.
