Separate park for mentally ill, elderly patients at BMHRC Health Centre-7

Health Center No. 7 and Psychiatry Department of BMHRC are being made more convenient for patients. The pharmacy located here has been expanded. Separate spaces have been designated for maintaining medical records of psychiatric patients. Separate parks are being developed for patients suffering from mental diseases and elderly patients, with two additional herbal gardens in progress. Work has commenced, and these parks will be ready in the coming months.Dr. Manisha Shrivastav, Director in charge, BMHRC, stated that there was ample space available in the premises of Health Center No. 7 for a park, hence the decision to create one here. She mentioned the importance of outdoor activities alongside medication in the treatment of mental illness, hence the decision to create a separate park for them. Various swings will be installed for  children suffering from mental illnesses. A park is being prepared specifically for elderly patients. Two  herbal gardens where plants with various medicinal properties will be planted with the help of Government ayurvedic, homeopathic and Unani doctors posted at  Integrated Health Center at BMHRC. Dr. Shrivastav explained that the Psychiatry Department and Health Center 7 both are situated in the same building. The pharmacy here was small which has  now been expanded. Additionally, a separate space has been designated for the medical records of psychiatric patients, ensuring immediate access to medical record files for patients suffering from mental illnesses.All Medicines Available: Dr. Manisha Shrivastav informed that all medicines are now available  in BMHRC and all health centers.  Seroflo inhalers for respiratory patients have always been available and is being distributed to  patients. She mentioned that the government has created a National List of Essential Medicines. It is mandatory for all government hospitals to have the medicines listed here. Now this policy is being implemented in BMHRC as well.
