C'garh: Student stabbed to death outside school

PANCHKULA: A Class 11 student was allegedly stabbed to death outside a government school in Sector-7 in Panchkula on Monday.According to sources, around 10-15 youngsters, reported to be ITI students, attacked the 16-year-old student as he stepped out of the school .Vikas Kumar, the deceased, was a resident of Railla village in Sector-12.The attack by a sharp-edged object punctured Vikas' heart and he fell on the road.Police said that after attending the school Vikas stepped out of the premises at around 2.30pm and found around 10-15 boys wearing uniform of an ITI college waiting for him.The accused attacked Vikas with some sharp-edged weapon and fled from the spot.Vikas was rushed to the civil hospital in Sector-6 by his school teachers. However, it was too late as the doctors declared him brought dead.The police filed a case under section 302 (punishment for murder) against unidentified persons at the Sector-5 police station after Vikas' relative gave a formal complaint in this regard.Some school students, on the condition of anonymity, claimed that Vikas had an argument with a Class 9 student a couple of days ago and that student might have called his friends outside the school.Vikas was the second youngest among three brothers and two sisters.
