Woman cop’s purse snatched

Tribune News ServiceChandigarh, September 8A motorcycle-borne miscreant reportedly snatched a purse from a woman constable of the UT police near Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, here on September 4 night. According to the police, the constable, who is posted at the Mani Majra police station, reported that she was returning to Mani Majra from Nayagaon on her scooter when she stopped near Shiv Temple to use her mobile phone. The victim alleged that a miscreant riding a motorcycle came and snatched her purse containing Rs 20,000, driving licence, registration certificate, Aadhaar card and an ATM card. She claimed that the suspect was wearing a helmet. A case has been registered at the Sector 3 police station.
