Senate poll preponed

Chandigarh, November 15The PU Senate elections of the Registered Graduates Constituency have been preponed and will now be held next year on September 20. The scrutiny and counting of the votes will be done on September 22. The election of heads of affiliated arts college, professors, associate professors and assistant professors, amongst themselves, will also take place on September 20. Earlier, in the Syndicate agenda, Panjab University had proposed the schedule of elections for registered graduates that were slated for September 27 and scrutiny and counting of votes was scheduled for September 29. However, the Syndicate requested the Chancellor to prepone the elections who approved the new dates.
