Landmark Quiz returns tomorrow

The Landmark Quiz, in the running for more than two decades, returns as the ‘22nd Brain Olympics’ on Monday. “There are no national finals, just two standalone quizzes in Chennai and (later) in Bengaluru this year,” said Dr. Jayakumar. There will be two quizzes: one for schools (junior round) at 10 a.m. and an open quiz at 2 p.m. Quiz rules: Teams of three, no entry fee, prior registration required (online or on the spot). All are welcome to participate in or watch the quiz.

It’s Independence Day eve and many Chennaiites are busy preparing for August 15 — by brushing up on current affairs, esoteric trivia and generally any piece of valuable information available at arm’s length. The Landmark Quiz, in the running for more than two decades, returns as the ‘22nd Brain Olympics’ on Monday. There will be two quizzes: one for schools (junior round) at 10 a.m. and an open quiz at 2 p.m. They will take place at the Chinmaya Heritage Auditorium, Harrington Road (Opposite Lady Andal School) in Chetpet, with Navin Jayakumar returning as the quizmaster. There will be one small change in the usual order of things. “There are no national finals, just two standalone quizzes in Chennai and (later) in Bengaluru this year,” said Dr. Jayakumar.
