Knit-Tech trade fair begins

Tadesse Haile, the State Minister (Exports, Investment) in Economic Section at Ethiopian Prime Ministers Office, takes a look at the textile machinery displayed at Knit-Tech Trade Exhibition that began in Tirupur on Friday. “We are expecting 40,000 visitors over the four days including the 6,000 persons registered online for the entry”, said M. A. Rayappan, chairman of the Knit-Tech Show. More than 200 stalls were set up in the fair arena.

More than 200 stalls were set up in the fair arena. “We are expecting 40,000 visitors over the four days including the 6,000 persons registered online for the entry”, said M. A. Rayappan, chairman of the Knit-Tech Show. Mr. Rayappan said an attraction this year was equipment developed using indigenous technologies like the ones meant for knitted fabric dyeing were on display apart from the imported appliances. Earlier on the day, Tadesse Haile, the State Minister (Exports, Investment) in Economic Section at Ethiopian Prime Minister’s Office, inaugurated the event in the presence of Tirupur Exporters Association president Raja M. Shanmugam and representatives of various other textile associations.
