Dehradun: The sealing of 1971 war hero Lt Gen Hanut Singh’s memorial on Rajpur Road by Dehradun Municipal Corporation (DMC) has triggered resentment among the ex-servicemen fraternity in the city.Citing land ownership rights, the DMC had sealed the premises of memorial situated inside an ashram on Rajpur Road. A memorial should never be considered an encroachment.”State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said, “Since the land belongs to the civic body, they are the final authority.
