The committee was set up by additional secretary of medical education Yugal Kishore Pant to investigate the incident.Pant also inspected the hospital on Friday. Pant also said that patients can report misbehaviour of hospital staff to 104 helpline. The husband had alleged that though nurses were available none of them responded to his pleas for help. The women’s wing of the hospital has 130 beds where 152 patients were accommodated. Only eight doctors and 17 nurses are available round-the-clock.
