Revenue officer son killed in accident

At a steep turn near Heena area of Gangotri NH, they got hit by a tourist bus coming from the opposite direction which left them gravely injured. His son Vimal was studying at a polytechnic college Uttarkashi. Both father and son were sent to the district hospital, where doctors referred them to a higher center in Dehradun. Uttarkashi: A revenue officer and his son died in an accident near the Gangotri national highway when a tourist bus hit the two wheeler they were riding on, here on Sunday morning.“Dinesh Singh (37), resident of Jakhol village of Bhatwari block was on his way to Ongi village with his son Vimal (19) on a scooty to attend a cremation ceremony. However, both succumbed to death on the way to the hospital,” said Dinesh Singh, sub inspector, Maneri Police Station.“The driver of the tourist bus, Bhim Singh, resident of Rishikesh, has been taken under police custody.

We will file a case against him if family members of the deceased lodge a complaint against him,” he added.Nobar Chand, gram Pradhan, Jakhol village, said, “Late Dinesh Singh was working as a revenue officer at Kamad Dhontri area of the district. His son Vimal was studying at a polytechnic college Uttarkashi. Both of them were going to Ongi village to attend a cremation ceremony.”
