Dehradun: With one more swine flu death reported in Dehradun on Monday, the total number of people falling prey to the deadly disease raised to six, while the number of people tested positive for the H1N1 virus reached 10 in the district.In the past two days, three people have died due to the H1N1 flu.On Monday afternoon, a 52-year-old woman from Mohakampur in Dehradun died in Sant Mahant Indresh (SMI) Hospital due to the disease. While on Sunday, a 71-year-old woman from Nehru Colony in Dehradun and a 48-year-old man from Jakholi in Rudraprayag district succumbed to the virus.Doctors claim that the flu is making inroads into Dehradun from other parts of the districts as the people tested positive for H1N1 virus or those who have succumbed to the disease are not residents of the city.Meanwhile, doctors have sounded alert and formed a dedicated team to spread awareness camps in schools.“We have sounded alert for all the schools. We hope they connect with the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) Unit of the health department to learn about precautionary measures. Hence, their case remains further sensitive.”
