Swine flu takes two more lives

Dehradun: With two more deaths from swine flu, the death toll due to the H1N1 virus has touched 30 in Uttarakhand this year.The health department has also reported 21 new cases of swine flu after which the total number of infected people in the state has reached 257.Talking to TOI, CMO, Dr S K Gupta confirmed that a 56-year-old man from Dehradun died due to swine flu late on Tuesday night. An isolation ward has also been set up at the district hospital,” said Gupta. Another woman (64) from Chamoli succumbed to the H1N1 virus on Wednesday morning.“Both of them were admitted at Mahant Indiresh hospital,” Gupta added.“We have an adequate stock of required medicines available at hospitals.
