Due to the pandemic across the shops were closed for the last few weeks, which was opened after the relaxation in curfew, then there was an influx of drinkers. According to the Nainital guidelines, the liquor shops are to open at 8 AM but the gathering starts from 7 itself. This reflects the eagerness of people for liquor to open.  

People were seen waiting for the opening of liquor shops, then with the opening of the shop, the brightness of people`s faces doubled. As soon as the number came for liquor, people were seen carrying liquor from the shops by filling them with boxes, bags, or bags. If the liquor shop is open after two months, then there will be a celebration, there were no less such crazy people to spill the jam. Liquor buyer Ashok said that ever since the shops were closed, he was waiting for this day. 

In the crowd that was seen at the liquor shops, people from the lower strata were more. Nainital boatmen, rickshaw pullers, and Nepali laborers appeared in large numbers in these queues for a long time. Many of these people were those whom eminent people lined up for alcohol.
