Army College graduates to train at IMA

Dehradun: A total 21 cadets celebrated their graduation from the Army Cadet College (ACC) located on the Indian Military Academy (IMA) campus in Dehradun on Saturday. These cadets, who were serving in the three wings of the armed forces, will undergo a year-long training at IMA, to become officers in the Indian Army.The cadets were conferred their degrees in a convocation ceremony presided over by IMA Commandant, Lt Gen VK Mishra , IMA officials said.TNNWe also published the following articles recentlyMedal-winning cadets at convocation ceremony of NDAs 145th course recall challenges during pandemic353 cadets joined the 145th course at NDA in Pune in December 2020. The convocation ceremony took place, with 55 conferred with BA degrees, 77 with BSc degrees, 87 with BSc (Computer Science) degrees, and 134 completing the engineering degree. The cadets faced challenges due to the pandemic but completed their training successfully. Internet-based Campus Area Network (CAN) and e-learning were crucial for their classes. Cadets expressed their pride in carrying forward the armed forces legacy. The chief guest, Suresh Gosavi, emphasized the importance of education in shaping young minds. The passing out cadets enjoyed an air show by the Suryakiran team.Prez: Women cadets will take country, NDA to new heightsPresident Droupadi Murmu reviews the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 145th course at the National Defence Academy (NDA). She congratulates the women cadets who participated in the marching contingent for the first time. The first batch of 19 women cadets at the NDA will pass out in May 2025. President Murmu also lays the foundation stone for the fifth battalion building. She emphasizes the importance of the NDA as a cradle of leadership and the training it provides. She highlights the role of the armed forces in protecting Indias borders and internal security.
