Dehradun: Two persons were booked for allegedly chopping down at least 39 healthy mango trees on their land to illegally chalk out plots in Sahaspur area of Dehradun on Saturday. According to police, Manas Batra, resident of Rajpur area, and Amit Batra, resident of Mohali, were charged under sections of the Preservation of Tree Act following a complaint by horticulture official, Ved Prakash Kharwal.
