Maharaj lays foundation for Rs 11.17 crore projects

Irrigation, Public Works and Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj laid the foundation for Irrigation department projects worth Rs 11.17 crore in Dehradun. At a programme held on Saturday morning, the minister laid the foundation for undergrounding of the nullah from the bridge on Chandranagar nala Road to Tyagi Road costing Rs 3.83 crore and construction works of the Mannuganj nullah costing Rs 7.90 crore in the Rajpur Vidhan Sabha constituency. Speaking on the occasion, the minister averred that Uttarakhand is witnessing all-round development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Maharaj further said that considerable work is being done on roads, irrigation, tourism, empowerment of Panchayats, women empowerment, education, health, child development and culture, among other spheres. The benefit of various government schemes is reaching the person on the last rung of the social ladder.  Prime Minister Modis guarantee is being appreciated not only in India but also abroad. The people of the nation have decided to ensure that the BJP achieves its aim of winning more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections so that Modi serves as the Prime Minister once again, the minister said.
